SUM 41

Sum 41 is a band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada. Initially formed by Sum 41 Deryck Whibley (vocals, guitar) and Steve Jocz (drums) who was a friend in high school. Sum 41's name was chosen because the band was formed 41 days before the summer (summer). The third member who signed the Dave Baksh (guitar), and the last is Jason McCaslin (bass) in 1999 after changing time bass player. They released their first album in 2000 titled Half Hour of Power under the label Island Records.

Their first manager Greig Nori, vocalist Treble Charger. Deryck Greig Nori asked to become manager of Sum 41. Greig Nori argues that Deryck is a child who is very ambitious to be a rock star. Most of the songs written by Sum 41 Deryck, some written by Stevo, the songs are written like Stevo Pain for Pleasure (All Killer No Filler) and Ma Poubelle (underclass Hero) usually is just for a joke. Stevo has said in Exposed, Much Music, without Deryck we only band that played songs of others.

In 2004, Sum 41 visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo where civil war which was the inspiration of their fourth album, Chuck. The name comes from Chuck Chuck Pelletier, a AUN who saved their lives when they are in Congo. On October 12 released the album Chuck in a louder voice and no more humor in it. First single "We're All To Blame" is more metal than punk sound followed by "Pieces" quiet song that went Top Chart in Canada, and "Some Say" single was released only in Canada along with "No Reason" that the video is only in the U.S. and Europe.

In July 2006, married Deryck with Avril Lavigne, who was engaged a year earlier. Earlier in the same year, Sum 41 guitarist Dave resigned from Sum 41. The reason is because Dave felt it was no longer appropriate to the music of Sum 41. Deryck has in fact revealed that Dave was not interested anymore in the music stream from Sum 41 album Does This Look Infected?. And finally after listening to the song samples on the album underclass Hero, Dave decided to resign and make a metal band called Brown Brigade.

Cone was also a side-project band called The Operation MD and wing-Garage Rock-Alternative. Cone alone with Todd Morse (H2O, Juliette & The Licks) did not want a lot of distortions in this band. Band of specialized doctors issued the album in February 2007, entitled "We Have an Emergency" and only sold in Canada. Characteristic of the Operation M.D. is the chess-patterned glasses are used each personnel Dr. Dynamite (Cone) and Dr. Rocco (Todd).

Their fifth album out on July 24, 2007, entitled underclass Hero. On this album, they return to their home stream. They admitted they were very enthusiastic in making this album. Her album will be even richer sound and the lyrics even better. So his spirit, they always say when they will tour everywhere.
